Marcel Coenen was born on September 21, 1972 in Sittard, the Netherlands. Marcel started playing guitar at the age of 11. He learned the main topics of music theory and guitar techniques very early on, and at the age of 13 Marcel started playing in bands. Marcel played in the bands Lemur Voice, Sun Caged, Speedica, Form and many others. He also collaborated with Channel Zero and Ayreon and also played the Christmas Metal Symphony shows where he played with many prominent muicians. Currently Marcel is working on his solo career
