Teddy Makadi (real name Teddy Maliza Jnr) is a Malawian singer, song-writer. Teddy’s inspiration ranges from a broad line-up of artists including Benjamin Dube, Marvin Sapp, Wizkid and he believes his artistry was really energized after watching Ray Charles’ creative process. As he looks forward to dominating the continent with his own sound, he looks towards Wizkid who he feels has pushed the limits of what it means to be an African artist and has opened so many doors for afro-artists. He hopes to set a similar standard in Malawi and beyond.
