Miss Nyrie aka Nyrie or MissNyNyfree is a complicated creature but songwriting has always been very cathartic for her. After dealing with many tragedies early in her life, Nyrie took to writing poetry to cope with grief. By the time she was attending college in her hometown Boston, Nyrie was performing in poetry slams where a friend pulled her aside and said all of her poems are rap, “You just have to spit them over the beat”. With her true love for hiphop & RnB developing Nyrie then embarked on a journey thru adulthood never giving up on a dream for people to hear her music, even when it wasn’t popular for a girl to be spitting such raw bars. Throughout the years, she struggled to pay for studio time and demand respect in the field where it sure was hard to come by. Nyrie’s trajectory of being a recording artist took her down a rocky path after leaving Ma to pursue a career in music. Wherever she traveled she was always know as the Boston girl who raps. Despite set backs Nyrie stayed true to her self expression always writing about tough topics & empowerment for those feeling lost or unheard. Her lyrics are thought provoking yet uplifting and clever messages. Once Nyrie was able to become independent after spending some time in NYC & Mia until she moved back the city that raised her, Boston where she has been performing and rebuilding and is now happily working on her new upcoming album.
