Biography

Chris Lockett is a self described rap orchestrator. He considers himself an architect who creates beautiful things with words. He also prides himself on being authentic. So much so that Chris feels the rap game is somewhat like the blind leading the blind these days, but he’s here to change that perception. A part of him is blessed to even be able to tell his story. More importantly Chris believes that if he can pull somebody to the side and talk to them about things no one told him, then he has done his job. Chris Lockett is from East Oakland, California. More specifically he hails from Sobrante Park. His up bringing made him tough. It made him sharp. It made him a bonafide hustler and its the stories of his long behind him hustling days that fill his bars and hooks. He’s the youngest of six children, one older sister and four older brothers. Chris also just so happened to be the cousin of rapper V-White of the legendary Oakland rap group the Delinquents. It was V-White who introduced Chris to the studio. As a teenager growing up in Sobrante it was easy for trouble to find him. What wasn’t so easy was turning that trouble in triumph but thats exactly what Chris did. There was a point in Chris’s young life that he found himself with quite a bit a time on his hands and sincerely missing home. Equipped with only a piece of paper, pencil and an imagination Chris began to write about all the things he would do when he hit the block. When the time came for him to make his dreams
