The Canadian synthpop project launched its debut EP, @PrimitiveCreatures in February 2017, and proceeded to build a worldwide audience from Japan and the UK to Mexico and Canada. The EP drove to number one on radio charts in cities across Canada, and it finished the year on a host of Top Album lists of 2017. In 2018, they released @TheDark&TheLight , which spawned the #1 hit @LikeGaryNuman. The album introduced a host of extraordinary female singers, including DeeDee Butters (of The Peptides & DeeDee7), as well as collaborations with former Spoons keyboardist Rob Preuss. The album @NewBoldDawn dropped in 2020 and introduced bangers such as @Paralyzed, @EyesUp, and @EndofDays. It also introduced vocalists Tara Hope and Allison Stanton and further collaborations with Rob Preuss (Spoons/HoneymoonSuite). Later in 2020, they dropped the retrospective album Progression to introduce new fans to a cross-section of their 4-year musical history within a single album. 2021 saw the release of the single @World'sABitch with legendary Rough Trade vocalist Carole Pope and the extraordinary Rob Preuss. The song will lead off the new album, Pause, which drops in March. All CoT release have been co-produced, mixed, and mastered by Blinker the Star’s Jordon Zadorozny, whose musical pedigree is considerable. Formerly signed to A&M and DreamWorks, Zadorozny has worked with such notables as Courtney Love, Chris Cornell, and Lindsay Buckingham (Fleetwood Mac).
