M.U.S.I.C.

The Soft Glow of Electric Sex

The Return to Queendom

Biography

Andrée Belle is a singer, songwriter, dancer, poet and humanitarian. A southern native, who's also of Puerto Rican heritage, she was born in Georgia and grew up in North Carolina. She studied classical voice in North Carolina before relocating to Los Angeles to study jazz at The University of Southern California.
Andrée independently released her debut project M.U.S.I.C. (Magnificent Unique Sexy Intelligent Creativity) in 2009. The eclectic soul record earned her various TV placements (including Orange is the New Black). Her electric live performances created a strong local following in Los Angeles. Her sophomore effort, The Soft Glow of Electric Sex, was an otherworldly, dark, soulful, exploration of sex and love. With this project Andrée acquired her first TV appearance of original music, on AXS Live.
Her third work, The Return to Queendom, is stratospherically soulful, poetic, provocative, and jazz inspired. The themes are heartbreakthrough, transmuting pain into lessons, love, and expansion. The project is autobiographical and meant to empower the listener. The project was co-written with multi-instrumentalist MAST.
Andrée is known for her soulful and sultry vocals. She has an expansive range from ethereal Minnie Ripertonesque highs to a bluesy guttural lower register. Her nuanced, powerful, and emotionally captivating vocals have been compared to Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald, Erykah Badu, and Amy Winehouse.
She has toured in the US and South America.
