"Raised with the help of the Canadian prairies, Zayda is a future pop and folk singer/songwriter. Whether it be only her raw, iridescent vocals and acoustic guitar, or kick-ass homemade synthesizers, she creates her art through music combining elements of her favorite genres to fashion her own unique arrangements. Her songs share her personal vibes; everything from broken hearts and sleepless nights to hopeful quests and sunny skies. As well as being nominated for the 2017 Kootenay Music Awards for her song "Watchdog", Zayda is also a Selkirk College alumni with experience in audio engineering and vocal performance. Zayda is also one of the lead singers in the 7-piece progressive metal & rock band Pareidolon, created by songwriter and producer Lachlan Tocher while at Selkirk. She released her debut self-produced EP in May of 2019. Zayda's music delivers an intimate but groovy insight into her life's mad adventures as a young woman in today's society."
