Starting with classical piano lessons in his early childhood, George John was introduced to the universe of keys at a young age. But it was the freedom and spirituality of Jazz, Funk and Soul with their classic analog sounds like Rhodes Mark I, Roland Juno and TR- Series that got him caught in combining different styles of music in a self didactic way. Adding the advantages of digital production George John was born: a one man live set, with the soul of jazz and the drive of broken beat and house music. With his approach John questions the dogma of industrialized mood music and challenges listening habits. Current set up consists of Roland Juno 60, Nord Stage 88, Roland Tr8s & NI Maschine. Musical influences range from Esbjörn Svensson, Jutta Hipp, Bugge Wesseltoft, Tito Puente, Roy Ayers, Isaac Hayes and Azymuth to Harvey Sutherland, Yussef Kamaal, Erykah Badu, Kiefer, Dam- Funk and Alfa Mist.
