Valerie Rose is an 18-year-old Dublin alt-pop singer, who broke through on the Irish music scene in late 2022 with the release of her first song, "My Head," on Diffusion Lab. She has had an explosive start to her music career so far. Since Valerie's debut release less than a year ago, Irish and international tastemakers have taken notice of her music. My Head gained airplay on several stations, including TodayFM, 2FM, SPIN, and FM104, and peaked at number 18 on the Irish Homegrown Chart. She was added to Hot Press' list of "Hot For 2023" after this release. Both of her tracks, "My Head" and "Rip My Calendar," have appeared in episodes of the acclaimed reality series Made in Chelsea on E4. Valerie Rose has also received support from Gemma Bradley on BBC Radio 1 and Craig Charles on BBC Radio 6. Valerie Rose’s music has appeared on various popular Spotify playlists, including New Music Friday, Alternative Ireland, Our Generation, Breath of Fresh Éire, and Shockwave. She was also featured on the BBC Sounds Where Music Matters playlist in March of this year. The multi-instrumentalist has spent the past year collaborating closely with Diffusion Lab, a record label and management business based in Dublin's The Playground. In June of this year, Valerie completed her Leaving Cert, and she is now a student in BIMM. She works hard in the studio whenever she can, finishing new songs while juggling her studies and music. On Sep 23 Valerie opened for Delilah Bon in The Academy.
