The origins of OBEEHAVE are as pure and real as they are trippy. In dark times when mental health issues made daily life impossible and admittance to an institution a viable option, B was introduced to the world of plant medicine. Psychedelics and micro-dosing healed his brain synapses in ways he never imagined. And perhaps most relevant to this tale, they made EDM shows these gloriously wild rides. B fell in love with the genre and started making his own tracks, programming samples to play in live time. With a trove of songs living on his computer and isolation due to the global pandemic, he started releasing tunes and playing Instagram Live sets and well, us homebodies desperate for some nomadic EDM fire were there for it. With multiple tracks in the hive and an ever-growing audience buzzing about, it was time to give this project a name. For that, B turned to his spirit animal - the bumblebee- peaceful, purposeful, and fierce if provoked. As OBEEHAVE, B reveals his authentic self: devoted, serene, dark, light, paranoid, and feisty when the time calls. And clearly, mad about saving the bees! OBEEHAVE will share earnings with conservation efforts to protect our pollinating friends and another chunk will be donated to MAPS. OBH follows up Slumgum with his second release "Kawasaki" - a blend of edm and rap revving up high energy verses and breakdowns to carry you away from 2020 and into the new year.
