Melmoth presents a fusion of diverse musical elements, combining dark and delicate vocal melodies over electronic sequences and stylized orchestral arrangements. The concept of the group and the lyrical work are influenced by classical literature which, in keeping with the music, places the listener in the past through a modern sound. Melmoth was formed in 1998, in Buenos Aires, by its then compositional nucleus Karen Sudnius and Pablo Almejún. On December 1, 2001, Melmoth made her first live presentation at the party 'La Mision de Los Eternos', where the band included as guests a trio of strings (violin, viola and cello) and percussions, to give support to the electronic programming. In 2007, the band released their first album entitled 'Living for the Kingdom's Will' released by the Argentine label of dark music Twilight Records. In 2018, Melmoth returns to the stage, with a new line-up, at the Victoriana Masquerade after 10 years of remaining in the shadows. In 2021, with the inclusion of vocalist Carina Alvarez, the band produced the second album. A triumphant re-foundation of the band, with new ideas and sound experimentation. TSF on live keyboards made his entry into the band's lineup and later became an important member of it. In 2024 the band is making the finishing touches to release their second album 'Ars in Itinere'. With the departure of Carina, the group is reinforced with the entry of contralto Marina Fernandez Martino and bassist/keyboardist Lis Valle.
