Biography

"You are worth more than your brain says you are" SWARM, known by his friends as Brandon Thomas Carroll, started carving his sonically-destructive path in 2018 after recovering from nearly a decade of struggling with anorexia. In 2023, Brandon explained in an interview with Forbes how this difficult experience shaped not only who he is today, but also the dark tone and mental health-focused message of SWARM’s musical vision. His hyper-aggressive brand of cinematic electronic music remains firmly rooted in the realm of Industrial EDM while taking listeners on an ever-evolving journey through rock, metal, and apocalyptic filmscore. Carroll is primarily an independent artist, painstakingly exercising his creative freedom while amassing well over 40 million global streams of his self-released discography alone. His music has been licensed for Battle Royale juggernaut, Fortnite, and most recently featured in an episode of CSI: Las Vegas.
