Son of a Bahian father and a Minas Gerais mother. He won his first Festival with only 14 years old, taking 1st and 3rd place and still standing out as an interpreter and multi-instrumentalist. He joined the Arts Group O.P.A (Prayer for Art), founded by Priest Irala (Paraguay), in meetings throughout Brazil, expressing art in the form of prayer, thus writing his career and his interest in MPB. He began his music studies in 1985, with guitar teacher Marcelino Diogo Leite from the Lorenzzo Fernandez School of Music, and later became a classical guitar teacher at the State Conservatory of Music (Maestro Marceliano Braga VG. Realizing his talent and vocation for a musical career, ended leaving his profession and formation as a nurse in 1986, which one was graduated from HRSM (Minas Gerais).
