Jean Laurenz is an eclectic musician currently serving as Assistant Professor of Trumpet at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She is a member of Seraph Brass and has performed with notable new music ensembles including The Knights, A Far Cry, Alarm Will Sound, Carnegie Hall’s Ensemble Connect, and with artists including as Adele, the Hanson Brothers, the Boston Pops, the New York Philharmonic, and the Hong Kong Philharmonic. Also a vocalist and stage performer, she has curated unique interdisciplinary events with mixologists, choreographers, actors, spoken word specialists, and multimedia artists. She recently developed an award winning musical film and multi-media work, DESCENDED. Jean has toured Europe with Lucerne Festival’s dance and theatrical production of Divamania. She is a graduate of Yale University and Northwestern University.
