Nec16 is a Recording Artist, Music Producer, Audio Engineer, Songwriter, & more from Chicago, IL . He officially began his music career in July of 2016 but did not officially start until 2019. Prior to this it was just something he just picked up for his mother may she rest with God use to always listen to music. It was one day when his sister may she rest with God as well was just making a beat on their living room table and he started freestyle rapping to it. His sister and mother was like I didn’t know you can rap like that. Then they start making phone calls and inviting people over for him to rap to. Everybody who was listening to him said he was good. So he started writing lyrics. He went to school and let his peers hear it they was very amused which made him wanted to do more. Later down the line he started going to studios. He didn’t like how they would mix his music so he took matters in his own hand and learned how to record and mix his own music. He also got tired of rapping to instrumentals of others music so he begin doing his own beats. Due to unfortunate chain of events like getting shot 6 times, having multiple surgeries, and losing love ones made him stop doing music on and off. Coming to his senses he just continued with his music for some said if he never stopped he would’ve been made it. So he started to pursue it even harder and smarter. Now as an independent artist Nec16 holds trademark and licenses for his music. He is now getting on the radar.
