Born in Far Rock Away Queens NY, Ramon Rivas is perhaps best known for engineering several Grammy award-winning albums for recording artists such as Justin Bieber & Usher respectively. Thereafter, Rivas connected with Mel Testamark and signed a publishing in-house deal with So So Def Recordings as an in-house engineer/producer. At 17 Rivas joined So So Def Recordings In 1998, Rivas moved to Atlanta after he was offered a full time position with the label by founder, Jermaine Dupri. Ramon's first major credit came in 2007 on Queen Latifah's Trav'lin Light album. Additionally, Ramon was an engineer and mixing assistant on the 50 Shades of Grey sound track and Despicable Me Movie/Score and Fast and Furious Soundtrack. Most recently, under the pseudonym Lifeof9000, Ramon has produced and released his own album "Nobody Can Eat" featuring The Heatmakerz as well as Styles P from The Lox and the street single "I Used To Be" performed by Chill. Ramon co-wrote many of the songs on the album, as well as providing vocals and much of the engineering expertise.
