“I chose my first name Shalom because I continually search for “peace” within myself and want others to find inner peace within themselves. I chose the last name Little from studying a childhood hero – Malcolm X. I chose Little over X because I realize that Malcolm had to go through a major transitional phase of “progression”. - Shalom Little Shalom Little; a soul man who makes Hip Hop music. Born in New York City. Schooled in Gwinnett County, GA. A humble soul, with a warrior’s heart, who achieves greatness against all odds. Father. Lover. Manifestor. Leader. A resident of rATchLanta; the land of the ratchet and the righteous. Shalom’s first major music credit was with the hip hop trio subCONSCIOUS; He released his first solo project, The subJAKKK, in 2013. He gained attention in Atlanta’s indie music scene for songs such as “Brolic Bounce” and “MARTA Card”. He co-executive produced the music compilation Been Good Vol. 1 released in 2014. Little also co-executive produced the Squad Tape; another music compilation of artists that influenced Atlanta underground Hip-Hop music. Shalom’s music is coming-of-age and introspectively addresses issues such as spirituality, vices, as well as other personal life lessons. Shalom Little has performed in multiple states and has headlined stages at events such as the A3C Music Conference and the Den Music Fest. He is also the principal curator of the Hip Hop brand All Rappity Raps.
