Biography

Danny Olson is a Classically-trained Composer, Electronic Music Producer and DJ residing in Los Angeles, CA. He has always rigorously cultivated and pursued his passions for both electronic and cinematic music, focusing his energies on film scoring, composing music for movie trailers, and creating crossover dance records. This multi-faceted approach of blending genres and challenging conventions has resulted in the creation of his signature musical style, “Cinematic Bass.” His debut release, a remix of blackbear's “Sniffing Vicodin In Paris”, accrued over 10M streams across platforms. Since then, he’s had many successful releases with imprints such as Seeking Blue, Lost In Dreams / Insomniac, Lowly, HEXAGON / Future Records, Proximity, Heaven Sent and Kannibalen Records. In 2022, his first ever self-released EP, ‘Club Cinema’, was accompanied by a stunning headline showcase in Los Angeles, complete with live instrumentation and immersive visuals. In the same year, he also released an EP entitled Firelight, after the sudden passing of his Father, Doug. Danny has collaborated with Don Diablo, Crystal Skies, yetep, Dylan Matthew, JT Roach, Chandler Leighton, and has landed official remixes for Maroon 5, Tiesto, The Chainsmokers, SLANDER, Said the Sky, Tritonal, Nurko, Kai Wachi, Kehlani, and Hidden Citizens. His popular covers of Imogen Heap (Hide and Seek) and Coldplay (Fix You) have also highlighted his ability to put his cinematic take on well-known classics.
