DJ/Producer CeeGee is a fast-rising afrobeat Canada Based Dj from Nigeria. Siji or CeeGee as he's fondly called interchangeably started his music career as a rapper during his secondary school days. He moved onto the stage name CeeGee during his university days where he won several rap contests, notably the Nokia Ovi rap battle. Later on, he started learning how to produce beats, so he could effectively communicate sounds the way he imagined them to be. Alongside his childhood friends; Hadeolu, Juelz, Chinwete, and Oluwole, they started a Royal Music group that was aimed at advancing each other’s talents. Learning production ropes from Juelz, Siji went further to create timeless pieces such as “we the best” and “shine on”, which showcased his prolific writing skills. Working with Alien prose ent. In Abuja, he also secured a widely acclaimed radio hit titled “runaway”, which was produced by Ucee under the musical direction of Drillmeister and Pro-cd. After multiple trials of how his musical journey should go, CeeGee tapped into his African roots and his musical journey to create his current Afrobeat sound. Influenced majorly by Bob Marley, Fela, Kanye West, Nas, Jay-Z, Wizkid, 2baba, Davido, and M.I, all of which has further deepened his style versatility and musical prowess. Currently, dishing out super mixes as a DJ, CeeGee is a force to reckon.
