D'zaire spent majority of his younger years in the Chicagoland area between Bellwood IL and Chicago's west side Where he would grow up listening to artists like Eminem, J Cole, 2 Pac, Isaiah Rashad, Chance The Rapper, Kanye West, and Kendrick Lamar just to name a few A music fan at an early age, D'zaire started playing percussion for the drumline in 5th grade at his elementary school Sumner Academy He later moved to Indiana where he would play in his new school's symphonic band again as a percussionist starting out on the bass drum then eventually going on to learn the various percussion instruments before ever taking any interest in rap Rapping didn't come until D'zaire was a high school sophomore playing for his school's basketball team "It started with after practice locker room freestyle sessions then just evolved from there when I peeped how hype people would get when I'd rap then I wanted to make songs for myself or songs that I'd want to hear" Since 2017 he's been making and releasing songs on streaming platforms and has strung together and impressive catalog full of lyrically intense stories matched with effortlessly witty wordplay and instrumentals you're forced to replay "Everybody wants somethin, I want the most" - D'zaire
