Biography

Sombra is one of the most renowned composers of samba de raíz. He started his career at the age of 12. In 1986 his compositions suffered musical influence from the first formations of Cacique de Ramos. In 1987 he went to Montreaux accompanying Beth Carvalho professionally as a cavaquinista. Partner of composers such as Sombrinha, Luiz Carlos da Vila, Arlindo Cruz, Aldir Blanc, Paulo Cesar Pinheiro and many others. First DVD with the title "Sombra - Vale a Pena Ouvir De Novo", a work of art for our samba. After his debut in the international music scene, the composer traced his career in important musical spaces such as Cacique de Ramos, where he improved his rhythmic side.
