My name is Rune Robert Friis. I am Danish bass player with a whole lotta love for the blues. I have been fortunate as I was raised in the blues tradition by some of the Danish blues scene’s great players. Through the years I have developed a heartfelt passion for blues music and all of its traditions. Beside the pure joy of playing the bass I also feel a genuine sense of duty to keeping this great tradition alive and well. This year (2022) I am releasing my first blues album “Built For Comfort, Vol. 1”. The album contains seven original tunes and two re-arrangements. The album features a bunch of great musical friends, who all made great contributions and helped the music come alive.
