Iconic and charismatic beauty, Jewell is a female vocalist whose voice is a force to be reckoned with. Like many musical vocalists, Chicago, Illinois-native Jewell began her singing career in church at the tender age of three. At the age of ten, she relocated with her family to Los Angeles, California. Jewell discovered a love for the stage that propelled her into a professional career, with a proficient disposition and captivating demeanour that permitted her to share the stage with well-known artist including Barry White, The Whispers, Mikki Howard, Brian McKnight, Howard Hewitt, Bobcat, Battle Cat, Egyptian Lover and The LA Dream Team. Mastering one art was not enough. Jewell began writing, arranging and co-producing music for platinum artist such as Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, 2Pac, Eazy-E, Bone Thugs ‘N Harmony, K-Ci & JoJo, Aaron Hall, Redman, Warren G, Demetrius Ship and DJ Quik. Jewell became “The First Lady” of Death Row Records in 1992, and the first female artist to sing over hardcore rap records, using her sweet, savvy, seductive tones to soften them up for radio play. Jewell featured on classic albums, such as Dr. Dre's The Chronic ("Let Me Ride"), Snoop Doggy Dogg's Doggystyle (“Who Am I (What’s My Name)”/“Gin And Juice”) and 2Pac's All Eyez On Me (“Thug Passion”). Her Billboard chart hit, ”Woman 2 Woman,” proved that she was destined to become an established solo artist.
