Jaleel Merchant (also known as “JLeel”) is an American singer, songwriter, and dancer. Born in Manhattan, New York, raised in Richmond Va. Jleel began his entertainment career as a backup dancer for national recording act “God’s Image” at the age of 11. Soon after, he embarked upon a music career performing in numerous venues along the east coast and releasing a mixtape (Acknowledge Me) that received buzz in the Virginia area. Jleel has been compared to some of his biggest inspirations like Michael Jackson, El Dabarge, and Usher. His current single, "Ready", can be streamed on all major platforms and via Youtube and Soundcloud.
