Lebogang Mokgele, better known as karamel umbrella, is a 25 year old musical artist from Mahikeng, South Africa. She is known for her flow and creativity and for laying verses in both English and her native language Setswana. karamel dropped her debut single ‘Rue’ in 2023 under Phauria Records, a collaboration with Nigerian artist Dopeman Twizzy which only helped to expand her presence and position within the underground African hip hop scene and was received to critical acclaim from industry tastemakers from Kenya all the way to the United Kingdom. A bona fide old school lyricist, her fans eagerly await the drop of her first full EP project.
