Biography

"Don't Talk (Put Your Head on My Shoulder)" is Carl's follow-up to the solo debut "Visitor" in 2022, Carl continues on the same track as the last album with one foot in history and one in the future. "-How do you interpret the future, you know nothing about it," says Bagge. “-The only thing I can do is play as well as I can with all my feeling and heart. For me, history is central to the experience of music. I grew up with a musician father, Lars Bagge, and took a lot of influence from his colleagues and friends; Monica Zetterlund, Toots Thielemans and Svante Thuresson, to name a few. In them, and a large record collection, I drew inspiration that shaped my early years before I met new friends and fellow musicians in my teens. I was then able to begin to create something of my own from all the inspiration that I had been given." On "Don't Talk (Put Your Head on My Shoulder"), in addition to newly written compositions by Carl, a number of covers can also be heard this time. Including the title track, signed by Brian Wilson and from the Beach Boys' legendary album "Pet Sounds". Also a symphonic movement from the composer Arthur Honegger has passed Bagge's pen and is interpreted by Carl's quartet. But now ; Don't talk, just listen!
