One of the earliest memories of my musical career is an experience related to my “London” period. In 1972 I was recording my third album at the Warehouse Studio and I met several members of the Virgin Records artistic staff, thanks to whom I had the privilege of attending the presentation of the Manor Studio. It was a very meaningful experience for me. My top 3 all-time favourite albums are : Igor Stravinsky - Le Sacre du Printemps because every time I listen to it, it’s always astonishing. The compositional genius, in giving a disruptive effect and a sense of improvisation at the same time; thus, bringing the listener to transit on different sound levels. Weather Report - Black Market for the compositional originality Ennio Morricone - The Mission , thanks to continuous lyricism and endless melodies, it transport you to new, unknown sound dimensions. My song that I love and I think it is special is Save me . I have been a vegan for 30 years, and I am very attached to “Save me”. A song, with its drama, that was born as an artistic emotion aimed at raising awareness of animal suffering. The most memorable moments in my career so far it was on occasion of the launch of my album Unity . Performing a concert of my own in Spanish Steps in Rome, with the audience crowding the entire square was truly memorable. http://toniverde.com
