Declan Sheehy-Moss is a genre-bending musician, composer, and producer, born and raised in Brooklyn, NY. Influenced by Herbie Hancock, Joe Henderson, Thundercat, and more, Declan blends jazz, pop, funk, and electronic music to produce a searing fusion of sound. Declan has worked with artists such as Henry Threadgill, Roscoe Mitchell, Immanuel Wilkins, Joel Ross, Sullivan Fortner, Jason Moran, Anna Webber, Ben Wendel, Dayna Stephens, and more. Current musical assistant for Pulitzer Prize winner Henry Threadgill, Declan works on both the clerical and performative sides and triggered sound and visuals as a part of Threadgill’s projects, “One” and “The Other One”, presented at Roulette Intermedium in May 2022. Declan studied Jazz Performance at the New England Conservatory of Music, working with Donny McCaslin, Antonio Sánchez, Dave Holland, Luciana Souza, Frank Carlberg, and more. Transferring to SUNY Purchase, he studied Studio Production with Peter Denenberg, Silas Brown, Jonathon Jetter, Phillip Moffa, and more. Declan has released 8 singles and 2 EPs, also working as a sideman for numerous other artists’ records and live shows such as Cisco Swank, Talia Goddess, VIBE WORLD ORDER, Reg Mason, Wally, and more.
