Biography

Fresh from the stove out of the trap rises Cartier Martinez, aka Trapman the ghetto’s favorite, born on the south side of Chicago where he would run the streets and become gang affiliated, he would later be shipped across the U.S., due to family being rocked by the crack epidemic . He found himself homeless and unfortunate through the ghettos of America. Which had him selling anything to survive, which lead to violence and prison time. In the midst of all his turmoil he found an admiration for music. Through drums, horns and hard pianos he would paint soulful music that would remind you of the Holy Ghost in a long church session but definitely not preaching to the choir. With his reality constantly changing around him, he would hold on to his own method of story telling which provided him comfort. His lyrical style has constantly evolved but the stories are his stories that would be archived through his music. Come on this journey with Cartier Martinez.
