Baracka Mugisa known professionally as BARACKA is a Congolese Canadian Singer, Songwriter, Rapper and dancer based in Vancouver BC. Baracka’s musical talent came from his Christian family that, from a young age, introduced him and his siblings to singing in a local church choir back in Democratic Republic of the Congo before they were forced to flee from war and for many years were refugees in Uganda. While in Uganda, Baracka and his brother joined a Christian gospel choir that introduced them to the sound of “Afrobeat music” which eventually become Baracka’s style for his songwriting passion. Baracka is currently a full time solo Afrobeat, Rap, R&B artist, dancer and athlete in Vancouver Canada. His passion for good music continues to grow and his main goal is to inspire the world through his professional songs and dances that are available on all platform.
