 Born in the north end of Hartford Connecticut in a heavily Hispanic/Black populated area, as a child he would listen to what he refers to as "moms cleaning music" he instantly fell in love with the sounds and different melodies of music, but it wasn't until the age of 11 when he saw his mothers eyes light up with joy at watching his older brother rehearsing for a school talent show, at that moment he didn't want anything else then to also sing and make is mother proud of him too. So every day he locked himself in his room and practiced his craft in hope to get his mothers attention and acceptance. Let's just say that in the end in didn't go as planned, but his new found gift would prove to be very helpful later on in his journey. 
 Now even further down further down the line his first official project came from the legendary DJ/Producer Todd Terry (InHouse Records) in which at that point Todd let Julio fully spread his vocal and production wings on both (Runaway & My Number One) and further fortifying him as a top tier artist. Immediately following came another opportunity to work with a legendary Hiphop artist by the name of (Mr.cheeks). Julio also produced,sing and wrote the song featuring the Grammy nominated rapper titled (Love N War) which further fortified him as the first Latin Freestyle artist ever to do a cross over collaboration with a Hiphop artist Mr Cheeks.
