Born Dedrick Wooten Jr., Lil YNT was raised in Tallahassee Florida though originally born in Georgia. Lil YNT moved to South Florida at the age of 17 after his mother passed away from cancer in 2015. In a not so ideal situation, Lil YNT was forced to live house to house and would only have solitude when he would go record music. With his first single “Barely” that would reach more than 40k views on YouTube, Lil YNT began to take the world by surprise with his melodic sound and various rap styles. Taking his career serious around 2016, Lil YNT was featured in multiple WSHH visuals and had 2 mixtapes out by 2017. Now starting his own label “What We Doin Entertainment, Lil YNT has proven that he has the ability to command the attention of the audience and isn’t afraid to take risk when it comes to his creativity with his music.
