Starting music when he was only 12, he started making music in middle school. He started off rapping on beats made by well-known artists. Later on becoming better with his own flow, whilst being inspired by artists such as Juice Wrld, Rod wave, and XXXtentacion. Lilzay made his songs around their style then developing his own. Still being inspired by his emotions with every song he writes. He says "Listening to Juice Wrld and the way he raps by just letting his emotions guide the song make me do the same. That's why every song I make is full of feelings." Lilzay incorporates lots of flows into his music and pushes himself past the limits that most people set on you when you first start music. He says " When I say I'm about to drop new music all people do is laugh and clown me. It's always the people who don't make music or know how hard it is to do it. They make you want to quit, but endurance is always the key."
