BLUNTED STYLUS is artist name of Australian producer Geoff Boardman. An avid record collector, and co-founder of the ground breaking sample-funk group the 'RESIN DOGS' (1996-2005). He has produced and performed alongside Robert Reed of TROUBLE FUNK, supported KRAFTWERK, Run DMC, Beastie Boys, Black Eyed Peas, Fat Boy Slim, and many others. The name 'Blunted Stylus' refers to a worn record player needle, as stated in a general warning on the back of 1969-70 RCA record sleeves.... “Beware the blunted stylus!” BLUNTED STYLUS releases feature diverse collaborations with extremely talented artists and contributors. Currently working on "The Soulicitors" project with Asabi Goodman. Additional background info: Geoff started out cutting his teeth in mixtapes early 1980s, and volunteering at community radio at 4ZZZ for the year of 1988 (around the golden era of hip hop) hosting arguably Australia's first dedicated Hip Hop show "Just2Def".
