Biography

David Greilsammer was a revelation at the "Victoires de la musique classique" awards and has been distinguished five times by the New York Times. He is recognized as one of the most audacious artists of his generation. Conductor and pianist, he has a particular affection for innovative projects, contemporary creation and bridges between arts and cultures. For many years, David Greilsammer has been recognized for his interpretations of the works of Mozart, a composer to whom he has devoted several albums. David Greilsammer created the event in Paris by performing the complete piano sonatas in a "marathon" day, and more recently by conducting the twenty-seven Mozart concertos from the piano in a single season. In addition to his role as Music and Artistic Director at the Geneva Camerata, David Greilsammer has recently appeared as conductor and soloist with the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra, the San Francisco Symphony Orchestra, the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France, the Tokyo Metropolitan Symphony, the Beijing National Orchestra, the Hong Kong Sinfonietta, the Salzburg Mozarteum Orchestra, the National Orchestra of Mexico, the Orchestra Sinfonica di Milano Giuseppe Verdi and the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra. His solo recitals are known for always presenting eclectic and innovative programs. Named Labyrinth, David Greilsammer's new recital has already been described by the American press as "fascinating and courageous".
