Biography

His strong personality and unusual approach to music lead him to receive awards for Best String Artist and the Third Prize of the 15th edition of "Intercentros Melómano", Förderpreis 2020 at the ZHdK University of the Arts with the project "The cello in Andalucía", First prize at the Utrecht Competition, to give solo concerts around Europe, in prestigious concert halls and festivals such as Muziekgebouw Amsterdam, Hindemith Foundation (Blonay), Studio Ernest Ansermet (Geneva), Servais Society (Belgium), Fundación Juan March (Madrid), Festival Alte Musik Zürich, Utrecht Early Music Festival, AMIA Foundation (Strasbourg), Cultuurcentrum Halle, TivoliVredenburg (Utrecht) and to receive grants from the Lyra Foundation, Freundeskreis Musik ZHdK or the Elsy Meyer Foundation. He has made recordings for RTS "Rádio Télévision Suisse" of Mathilde Kralik's unpublished Trio and George Enescu's octet and for EMTV of Brahms and Beethoven sonatas. He was solo cello of the Zurich Baroque Orchestra, guest of the Basel Chamber Orchestra and the Thurgau Chamber Orchestra. He played a Charles Buthod cello from 1858 loaned from the Maggini Stiftung and currently a Mathias Neüner made in Mittenwald in 1802.
