Born in the Democratic Republic of Congo, Drahmah first arrived to London in 1992 with his father to avoid the inevitable First Congo war which started in 1996. Considered as a ‘triple threat artist’ because of his ability to Rap, Sing and Write for other artists, he was first introduced to the UK grime scene back in 2007 at just 16 years old. ‘P2J Project - Hands in the air’ became a pivotal moment in South London's musical history as well as in Grime in which he played a huge role in putting together. The video has now gone on to amass over 1 million views on Youtube. In the early 2000s after joining the infamous Fatal Assassins collective alongside the likes of P Money and Little Dee, Drahmah began exploring his musicality by remixing songs like T-Pains I’m Sprung and Mariah Careys We Belong Together before working closely with producers P2J and Slic Vic who have gone on to produce for international acts including Beyonce, Wizkid, Burna boy, Krept & Konan and Tinie Tempah. After emerging from a hiatus from music Drahmah returned briefly in 2012 with the ’Go Get It’ video featuring Fekky taken off his ‘Glad to be Back’ mix-tape, and in 2013 headlined a sold out show at the world famous Jazz Cafe off the back of his successful ‘Lost Boy EP’. Early 2020 Drahmah returns with an Afro influenced EP alongside UK Afro-beats pioneer Mista Silva which features just two singles, Mek I Go and Anointing both produced by up and coming producer Al Mac. www.drahmahofficial.com
