Mel Chanté is a poet, writer, voice and author of poetry book, Brown Butter, living in Brooklyn, New York. Introduced to poetry and the piano by her father, who was also a poet, musician and author, combined with her mom placing her in arts and music programs, Mel's been expressing her passions since childhood. Her alluring voice combines spoken word, storytelling and melody into a rhythmic, ethereal experience. She’s toured throughout the U.S. and Europe, including major cities Boston, Washington D.C., Houston, Philadelphia, Chicago, Atlanta, Charlotte, Copenhagen, Berlin and London. Mel is the creator of Vow To Self Podcast, an affirmations meditation to help uplift self talk and nurture mental wellness. She's also a leading voice behind The Shine App, voted Apple’s best apps, currently on Headspace. She’s opened for renowned artists from rupi kaur’s World Tour to Dianna Lopez, and has collaborated with international artists’ such as Londrelle, featuring on his album Floral Escape and her debut ep, Flo.
