Komanii is a rapper, singer, songwriter, and producer from Nairobi, Kenya and based in London, UK. His music is an uncompromising expression of his journey through life. Energized/inspired by the world around him, his mission is to create smooth, compelling songs that his fans can truly connect with. The eclectic, driven creative has lived around the globe, and began composing his own beats and lyrics when he moved to the US for college. Gravitating towards hip-hop and drawing inspiration from the likes of Chance the Rapper, Aminé, and Childish Gambino, this led to his iconic first track “Spend”. With equal zest and creative fire, he dropped his first EP Niko Tayari in 2018. Since then, he has teamed up with up-and-coming artists in the industry, with features on the single “Gala” with Ayon Mukherji and Elrim, and “F.O.M” with Troye Raustein. Passionate about all facets of the music business, Komanii is deeply invested in his work, and has mixed and mastered his own music, as well as produced for others.. He has also designed sharp visuals for his hit single “Roll'in” featuring Lawry L and Kris J. Among his influences are leading artists in the game, including J. Cole, Kendrick Lamar, Kanye West, Russ, JID, Kehlani, Jidenna and many more. There is no stopping this young talent. When not toiling in the music scene, Komanii expands his artistry as a prominent fashion designer, aiming to soon release his own debut collection.
