Blending rapcore’s sonorous, confrontational style with incisive conscious lyrics, the self-proclaimed “junte de panas” Yuca Brava is made up by Fénix Castro (frontman) and Carlos R. Anglada (producer, drummer and backing vocals). They stress the importance of not only communicating, but also defending a message of resiliency, confrontation and resistance amid Puerto Rico’s tense social and political climate.
