The band was officially born in Colombia 18 June 1984. Soon the group acquired the character and the necessary force to gain a great musical credibility, having as immediate objective to compose subjects of Rock in Spanish. The first songs are born: "Nada ha cambiado aun", "Todo hombre es una historia" and "Muere Libre", whose sound was strongly influenced by Heavy Metal and Hard Rock. At the La Macarena Bullring in Medellin in 1986, Kraken appears alongside the Brazilian group Sanctuary, before 6,000 attendees, who sang in unison their unpublished themes. Pirate recordings of their songs had already been distributed throughout the country and learned by their nascent fans, being Kraken from then and until now one of the most important bands of Colombian Rock.
