The ultimate satisfaction is to record original songs and share them with the world. My first CD, Child’s Play, contains 8 covers and 4 original songs; 2 of which I contribute words and music, and 2 of which I contribute lyrics. My long awaited follow up begins in a matter of days with my original song, I Can’t Wait, for which I wrote words and music, with my friend, Nick Anastasio; co-produced by the fantastic Pen to Platinum productions, and recorded in Miami, Florida. Upcoming as well is my single titled, Like a Butterfly, with music by Randall Dollahon, and co-produced by the great smooth jazz artist, Mike Levine. My first influences were jazz and jazz/pop singers like Nancy Wilson, Sarah Vaughan, Frank Sinatra; and Latin performers like El Gran Combo and Ruben Blades. In popular music, I loved diverse groups like Rufus and Chaka, Steely Dan, Aretha, classic rock, disco and funk. My influences include everything from Bluegrass to Bossa Nova. Today’s freedom in recording and releasing original music is an open door to a variety of genres and my songs hit quite a few, with the end result being classified by the listener to put on your playlist.
