DavidTheScholar, a Houston, Texas native, comes from the Southwest region of the United States. He first started his music career in 2020, but his origin story with music started from a young age. He started dancing on his Youtube page, DavidTheScholar, at 18 years and then went to his passion which is making music. David then began writing and composing his own music. 
 DavidTheScholar has already released some great songs to the public. The top three that he values the most are "Enemy", “Missed Calls,” and “USA.” “Enemy” is about the artist’s battle with depression, letting people in a similar situation they are not alone. “Missed Calls” is a hip-hop jam about how he misses calls to work on his music. “USA” is a protest song that I wanted to bring to light about America. He wants communities around the world to unite, not tear each other apart with violence. 
 DavidTheScholar states his biggest influences are Kendrick Lamar, J. Cole and Chance The Rapper . Their lyrics and style developed DavidTheScholar’s music. DavidTheScholar’s music is unique because of his personality and sound. His experiences have shaped his emotional lyrics and musical melodies. He wants listeners to believe that there is a song he made for every situation in their lives.
