Canadian hip-hop musician Dolosrevenge delivered introspective lyrics atop melodic production, echoing Travis Scott and Juice WRLD. Reflecting a wide range of stylistic influences, he blended R&B instrumentation, dreamy beats, and even indie rock melodicism into a heady, emotional amalgam on his heartsick 2018 debut single Wanted. Born David Harvey in 1997, the Ottawa artist grew up playing piano and guitar, turning to rap in high school. Influenced by rock music and hip hop and R&B artists such as Kanye West and Drake, Harvey began recording as Ness B, a shortened form of Finesse Bradley, which he described as a way of living.
