Dara Blaxx is an Afro Soul British Nigerian singer and songwriter. With her unique, rich voice, compelling lyrics and playful melodies, she croons tales of love and life, capturing ears and gliding effortlessly over a fusion of sounds. Growing up listening to a wide range of music from gospel to grime, afrobeats to neo-soul and pop, naming artists like Asa, Sade, Lauryn Hill as key inspirations, her musical expression and style has been undoubtedly shaped by these varied influences. She released her debut EP Arrhythmia in 2021 with support from BBC Music Introducing West Midlands/ Solent and Amazing Radio UK/US and international blogs. “I’m intrigued and inspired by life, human nature, our complex relationships with each other, ourselves and our environments. I believe in love, authentic expression and enjoyment and I make music that I believe reflects this.
