He's usually recognizable by a few melodic lines, whether in jazz, rock, pop or folk. His trademark? This writing of contrasts, this oxymoronic poetry contained in each composition and revealed in his meticulous arrangements and in his assumed fragility, that of the reed that bends without breaking. It's his way of telling us dreamlike stories, sometimes fluffy, sometimes raspy. Guillaume plays all these styles and mixes them brilliantly, a passionate listener to each one and an inexhaustible composer, day and night. He moves from one project to the next, embracing their coexistence as he builds his deep musical personality. Guillaume Vierset (1987) has become a key figure on the Belgian music scene. He has established himself as a leader and sideman in several projects that have left their mark on the musical landscape. EDGES (rock/jazz), IAMWILL (indie/folk/singer-songwriter) and Harvest Group (folk/jazz) are his three active personal projects. On the alternative pop/rock scene, he plays with the likes of Sharko, Typh Barrow and Sacha Toorop. At once nonchalant and poetic, lively and invigorating, the guitarist likes to draw us into his light-and-dark worlds, from which we emerge moved.
