Biography

Prince Street Bodega (PSB) is a 4-piece supergroup that encapsulates the sounds of funk, soul, disco, and hip-hop.
The band’s origin was a happy accident born out of the 2020 lockdowns when NYC-based producers Black Caviar (Troy Hinson and Jared Piccone) connected with singer/songwriter Rion S (Ryan Sewell) from Ireland to make house music tracks. This partnership quickly resulted in two major hits, “Money Money” on Defected Records and “Tamed” on Toolroom Records. Wanting to work more together, Ryan shared some unfinished demos that ventured outside of house music.
During this time, Troy moved to a new neighborhood in NYC’s Greenwich Village where he discovered that his next door neighbor was the talented multi-instrumentalist artist DOMENICO. Taking advantage of this coincidence, Troy and Dom immediately began collaborating on Ryan’s song ideas. Within the span of just a few months, the team ferociously produced an entire album’s worth of material. They just needed a name. Paying homage to the New York City neighborhood that inspired much of the music, “Prince Street Bodega” was born.
