Ayda Akbal is a composer, songwriter, and producer based in Naarm/Melbourne. She is passionate about expressing human emotion and culture in her work. Her music has taken her to places she could never have imagined, recently travelling to the US after being accepted into New York University’s Film-Scoring Summer Intensive, as well as earning a fully funded place at APRA AMCOS’ Screen Music Songhubs based in South Australia. She is delighted to share that her music has travelled more than herself, with her film, theatrical, audiobook, and advertisement scores being performed and screened in cities such as Los Angeles, Chicago, Sydney, Florida, and Marrakesh.
