Hazelgrove began in Richmond, Va and has transformed from its origins in synth heavy hip hop into a blend of r&b, indie rock, and psychedelia. Artists such as Frank Ocean, Toro y Moi, and Omar Apollo have inspired the artist heavily over the past few years. Hazelgrove’s mission is to combine the organic and the digital together to create a futuristic sound that still breathes. Hazelgrove was voted into the top five Richmond artists of 2024 in the pop category in RVA Magazine and has played live synth for other prominent Virginia artists such as Tommy Richman and Boris the Lucid. Performing with their band, the artist was recently featured in River City Roll’s 804 Fest and will be featured in the next on March 21st. Their next single is set to arrive March 22nd with production and guitar from their closest collaborator, Richmond artist and guitarist, CAS.
