Crystal the Indigo (also known as Crystal Torres) is a melodic renaissance woman, who’s vocal, trumpet, production & songsmith skills can be heard all over today’s hits. Growing up in Philadelphia with Puerto Rican roots, Crystal learned to sing harmony in church choirs & play trumpet in school bands. Her gifts quickly attracted a season of mentorship & tours with jazz greats Clark Terry, Dr Billy Taylor & the neo-soul, fusion group The RH Factor, led by the late Roy Hargrove.  She soon after began writing original songs and discovering her passion for wellness while on tour with pop icons Beyoncé, JAY-Z & Alejandro Sanz. Whether it’s her feathery vocal harmonies floating over a hip-hop beat on Lupe Fiasco's, “Alan Forever” or soulful brass stabs riding a Latin pulse on Steve Lacy’s, “Mercury”, Crystal’s sound embodies both the shimmering grit of city life & the calm turquoise glow of a sunset by the sea.
